Shugo Imperial Tomb
From 24th April to 22nd May 2013, the Shugo Imperial Tomb is opening its gates for players at level 51 and higher. Search for Indiana Jonshunerk in Sanctum or Pandaemonium to enter the instance as a transformed Shugo warrior. Team up with one or two players and stop the grave robbers from stealing the treasures of the lost empire. Look forward to rewards, such as various coins, sturdy chests, AP Relics, Mithril Medals, Stormwing armor and weapons, Dramata’s Wing and Dramata’s Bone Wing.
Free entrance to Silentera Canyon and Esoterrace
From 24th April to 22nd May 2013, we will open the entrance to Silentera Canyon as well as to the instance “Esoterrace” in Gelkmaros and Inggison – no matter which faction has taken over the respective fortresses. Entering Silentera Canyon gives you access to the instances “Corridor of Betrayal” (Hexaway) and “Beshmundir’s Temple” in which you can gain plenty of AP.
Abyss Points Boosts
From 24th April to 30th April as well as from 8th to 15th May, we will reward your courage: During these timeframes, you will receive 50% more Abyss Points during PvE. If you die in PvP between 30th April to 8th May and 15th to 22nd May, you will get off lightly and lose 50% less Abyss Points.
Spring has finally sprung and a fresh breeze is blowing through Atreia: update 3.9 has arrived with brand new features. We have also enhanced the Veteran system and increased the maximum level from 28 to 40.
All this awaits you in 3.9:
Beginner's Server
The Beginner's Server is accessible for Daevas of all servers and allows for uninterrupted PVE adventures - without attacks on other players. Returning to your home server is possible at any time. In future, skilled fighters will be rewarded for their bravery with a danger bonus: if you play on the normal servers, you will receive an EP boost of 10% as well as a drop rate boost of 5%.
The following rules apply on the Beginner's Server:
- A character can reach a maximum level of 55.
- Trade is not possible amongst players.
- A private shop cannot be opened.
- At the Trade Broker's, only auctions from the home server are displayed.
- Sending letters with attachments is not possible.
- No rifts leading into other areas exist.
- Strongholds cannot be captured and are permanently owned by the Balaur.
Integrated instance server
Using this function you can face instances together with other players from other servers. As payment, you can receive more experience points and a higher chance of defeated opponents dropping items.
When entering an alliance instance (+12 players) via the "Integrated Instance Server", all fellow combatants will be bestowed with the "Victory's Pledge" buff, which temporarily increases Attack Power, HP, Magic and Healing Power.
The integrated instance server is only available for the following instances:
Group instances: Nochsana Training Camp, Fire Temple, Poeta of Darkness, Theobomos Lab, Adma Stronghold, Draupnir Cave, Steel Rake, Udas Temple, Lower Udas Temple
Dredgions: Dredgion, Chantra Dredgion, Sadha Dredgion
Crucibles: Empyrean Crucible, Arena of Discipline, Arena of Glory, Arena of Chaos, Arena of Cooperation
New instance
In the Silentera Canyon, a secret hideout of the Balaur has been discovered: the Corridor of Betrayal. Enter this new instance with five companions from level 55 and seize your enemies' treasures!
Additional storage cube
Finally, more space in your inventory: quest items, coins, insignias and tickets will be automatically stored in a separate storage cube in future. You can open it via an icon in the lower part of your inventory.
Enhancement of the Veteran rewards
For the release of 3.9 we have enhanced the Veteran reward system. Up until now, the maximum level was at 28, now we have increased it to 40. By activating a Gold Pack, you increase by one level and receive valuable items for your loyalty.

What is the Spring lottery?
From 4th April until 16th April, gather the 20 Spring tickets in various combinations and win great prizes – including Godstones, socketing with 100% success chance, Mithril Medals, Ancient Crowns and much more.
Where can I get Spring tickets?
When you log in to the game on any day in the period between 3rd April and 15th April, on the following day two free Spring tickets will be delivered to you via Shugo Express. To increase your chances of winning, you can also purchase additional tickets in the AION Shop.
Please note, the numbers on the tickets are generated at random – some numbers will appear more frequently, others rarely.
How do I receive my prizes?
Each night the little Shugos will glance into your inventory and will be on the lookout for winning combinations. If they find some, they will take the corresponding tickets and will then send you your prize later via in-game post.
What prizes can I win?
There are many different prizes that all require a different ticket combination. Here is a detailed overview.
The Shugos will also search for the most valuable combination for you. Where many possible ticket combinations exist in your inventory, you will always receive the prize that is most valuable.
How can I collect my tickets for the bigger prizes?
The Shugos only check in your inventory, not in the character warehouse or your mailbox. If you wish to set your tickets to one side to save them for one of the main prizes, you should stow them in your warehouse. But do not forget to place them back in your inventory as soon as you have all the tickets required for a combination!
Prizes and more information
Creative minds among the players could submit self-made weapon concept arts and have a chance to see their weapon concept implemented in the future update.
Several winners from Europe have been selected and have won prize, but only one participant for Europe has the chance to see his or her creation chosen by NCSOFT’s developers.
Eiphis, also known as Patricia, is the person whose weapon concept has been selected by AION developers to be implemented into the game. She is 33 years old and plays an Elyos Spiritmaster Level 60 on Calindi together with her legion members of Maisnie Alrion Asterazurin.

When snow is slowly melting, the first warm sunrays break through trees and the sweet odor of blooming Xilix is in the air, then all Daevas know: Spring has arrived in Atreia!
AION was merciful again and our Daevas did not have to suffer from a harsh and cold winter. To praise AION and to thank him for his mercy, Daevas all over Atreia collect Pink Petals and hand them over to Petal collectors in either Pandaemonium or Sanctum. Collected Petals will be then used as offerings during ceremonies for the Spring Festival.
Join the collectors and redeem them for rewards: Next to useful items and materials, you have a chance on grabbing one of the exotic costumes, available in either temporary or permanent version.
Our AION Spring Event starts on 6th March and ends on 20th March.

The Elyos and Asmodians are still embittered enemies and even the Balaur are trying to come to power in bloody battles. However, a lot has changed in the last 12 months: we, the team at Gameforge, took over European operation on 29.02.2012. We changed the game over to a free-to-play model and put an end to the subscription fees. Updates 3.0 and 3.5 brought about a lot of new features and a total of three million players registered for AION - 2,7 million after the switch over alone!
So we have plenty of reasons to celebrate! The following awaits you in the next few days and weeks:
Update 3.9
In April we're expecting another milestone in AION's history, on 17.04. update 3.9 will be installed on the European servers - including the Rookie Server and the Dungeon Finder! Thanks to these new features you will be able to survive adventures together with other Daevas.
4.0 will also be released this year. Atreia will expand a little further with the new area Katalam and two new classes. More info about both enhancements will follow shortly.
Boost Event
From the 27th of February until the 6th of March, there will be a 50% boost on drop rate, experience points, Abyss points and crafting. You will also lose 50% less Abyss points during this time should you shuffle off this mortal coil.
Spring Event
Winter is drawing to a close and Spring is awakening. Greet the new season from the 6th of March in our Spring event. We have lots of surprises in store for you!
Anniversary Discount

Once a year, all inhabitants of Elysea and Asmodae are celebrating the most unusual love story that happened in Atreia: Kralls have captured a young Shugo called Gaphyrerk and imprisoned him in a cage in the Dukaki Mines of Verteron. During his imprisonment, he could think about only one thing – his love and affections for Mimiti, the Dukaki girl with the wonderful long eyelashes. Noone knows if they ever found each other, or if Gaphyrerk died with a broken heart…
Valentine’s Day Event
You will receive a “Lover’s Stone” in regular intervals on a daily base, given you are online in the game. The stones can be exchanged for Valentine’s Day presents by visiting the NPCs in Pandaemonium and Sanctum. Surprise your better half with a Heart Hairband or craft something more personal from acquired crafting materials.
Or you can decide to gift your better half with a Candy Basket, containing various useful items like Enchanting stones, Manastones or even Relicts for Abyss Points.
The event starts on Wednesday, 13th February 2013 and ends on Wednesday, 27th February.
Valentine’s Day Event
You will receive a “Lover’s Stone” in regular intervals on a daily base, given you are online in the game. The stones can be exchanged for Valentine’s Day presents by visiting the NPCs in Pandaemonium and Sanctum. Surprise your better half with a Heart Hairband or craft something more personal from acquired crafting materials.
Or you can decide to gift your better half with a Candy Basket, containing various useful items like Enchanting stones, Manastones or even Relicts for Abyss Points.
The event starts on Wednesday, 13th February 2013 and ends on Wednesday, 27th February.
